Nigerian Air Force Ranks
There are a total number of 19 ranks in the Nigerian Air Force both the Commissioned Officers and the non commissioned officers.
Those that joined the Nigerian Air Force using SSCE certificate are always given the rank of Aircraftman as their starting rank. National Diploma rank in Air Force is Lance Corporal or Corporal. Those that joined the Nigerian Air Force using NCE certificate are always given the rank of Lance Corporal or Corporal depending on the trade. Those that are graduates in the Nigerian Air Force the joined the Air Force using HND or BSC are given the rank of Flight Lieutenant.

Nigerian Air Force Salary
Just like the ranks in the Nigerian Air Force, those that joined the Nigerian Air Force using SSCE certificate are paid between #50,000 – #52,000. National Diploma Salary in Air Force is between #57,000 – #60,000. Those that joined using NCE certificate are also paid between #57,000 – #60,000 as starting salary. The graduates in the Nigerian Air Force that possess HND or BSC are paid about #140,000 – #180,000 monthly as their starting salary.

Nigerian Air Force Allowance
There are few Allowances which are reportedly paid to the members of the Nigerian Air Force. The allowances are as follows
- Special Forces allowance – #45,000 – #75,000
- Uniform Allowance – #10,000 – #15,000
- Operation Allowance – #45,000 – #75,000
- Transport Allowance – #10,000 – #25,000
- Housing Allowance – #15,000 – 25,000.
Nigerian Air Force Training Allowance
The Nigerian Air Force training allowance is a little amount of money which is paid to trainees on training for their upkeep until the completion of their training.
The Nigerian Air Force training allowance is between #15,000 – #25,000 for SSCE, ND and NCE certificate holders while HND and BSC certificate holders training allowance is between #20,000 – #35,000. Please note that the training allowance won’t be paid to those who have successfully graduated from training. In other words, the Nigerian Air Force training allowance is strictly for those who are on training.
