Firstly you have to know that there are different ranks in the Army and how their salary is paid according to the rank. People that just joined the army as recruit receives lesser salary the the people that are commissioned (graduate)
The commissioned officers are the ones that pass through Nigerian Defence Academy NDA and were commissioned by the chief in commander of the Armed Forces either as cadets who normally spend 5 years or as short service cadets and other commissions and their salary is bigger.
The Nigerian Army Recruit are the ones that spent six months of training in the Nigerian Army Training School Zaria (Depot NA) and their salary is lesser. The Basic Recruit military training for Trades and Non-Tradesmen is a Short Period Training for people with and without trade skills to enlist into the Nigerian Army as Trade and Non-trade soldiers. The Nigerian Army Training Allowance for recruits who are under training in Depot Nigerian Army is about N10,000 – N13,000. Also note that the training allowance is just for recruits under training.
